Position Highlights:
- Start: As soon as credentialed
- Assignment Length: 3-month contract with ongoing coverage
- Location: Maryville, IL
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Call: Approximately 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month (negotiable)
- EMR: Epic
- Coverage Needed: Full-time preferred; PRN availability may also be considered
- Travel and lodging provided
Practice Details:
- Hospital-based setting
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- Average patient volume:
- Weekdays: Approximately 15 patients/day
- Weekends: Up to 25 patients/day
- Responsibilities include:
- Inpatient rounding
- Emergency Department consults
- STEMI call coverage
- General cardiology and interventional procedures
Procedures:
- Cardiac catheterizations
- Coronary interventions
- Temporary pacemaker placement
- Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
- Echocardiograms
- EKG interpretation
- Cardiac stress testing
- STEMI management
Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
- Active Illinois and Missouri licenses (or eligible through the IMLC)
- Active DEA
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of post-training experience (no new graduates)
- Required case logs for credentialing, including interventional cardiology and general cardiology procedures
