INTERNAL MEDICINE – INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGY
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: USA, Kentucky
POSITION SUMMARY
The Department seeks an interventional cardiology specialist to join a collaborative cardiovascular program within a regional referral center. The role supports a high-volume interventional service line with access to advanced procedural technology, multidisciplinary subspecialty support, and a large referral network. The position contributes to continued program growth and provides both inpatient and outpatient interventional cardiology services.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine and/or Cardiovascular Disease and/or Interventional Cardiology.
• Residency training in internal medicine.
• Training or experience in Interventional Cardiology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Kentucky.
• Interest in interventional practice within a comprehensive cardiovascular service line.
COMPETENCIES
• Ability to perform a broad range of interventional cardiology procedures.
• Skill in collaborating with cardiology subspecialists, surgeons, and advanced practice professionals.
• Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based cardiovascular care.
• Effective communication within a multidisciplinary clinical environment.
• Capacity to support a high-volume practice with structured call responsibilities.
WORK SETTING & ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment: Hospital; Inpatient; Outpatient; Clinic/Private Practice
• Interventional cardiology practice supported by hybrid ORs, advanced cath labs, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Collaboration with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, vascular surgeons, cardiothoracic surgeons, and interventional radiologists.
• Access to eight procedural labs including multiple Philips FD20 labs and hybrid capability.
• Use of industry-standard EMR and integrated clinical systems.
