Position Overview
An established hospital-based Interventional Cardiology locum tenens opportunity is available in Pennsylvania. The provider will deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient interventional cardiology services, including consultations, cardiac catheterizations, TEE procedures, echocardiogram interpretation, and STEMI call coverage.

- Average Patient Volume: Approximately 15 consults per day
- Procedures: Average of 3 procedures per day
Clinical Responsibilities
- Inpatient and outpatient Interventional Cardiology coverage
- Cardiology consultations
- Cardiac catheterizations
- Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
- Echocardiogram interpretation
- STEMI call coverage
- Cardiac window procedures
Schedule & Coverage Dates
September
- Sept 4–6: 24-Hour Call Coverage
- Sept 7–11: Day Coverage plus Night Beeper Call
October
- Oct 16: Day Coverage plus Night Beeper Call
- Oct 17–18: 24-Hour Call Coverage
- Oct 19–23: Day Coverage plus Night Beeper Call
- Oct 24–25: 24-Hour Call Coverage
- Oct 26–30: Day Coverage plus Night Beeper Call
- Oct 31: 24-Hour Call Coverage
November
- Nov 1: 24-Hour Call Coverage
- Nov 16–20: Day Coverage plus Night Beeper Call
- Nov 21–22: 24-Hour Call Coverage
December
- Dec 7–11: Day Coverage plus Night Beeper Call
Shift Details
- Monday–Friday Day Coverage
- Night Beeper STEMI Call
- Weekend 24-Hour STEMI Call
- One-hour lunch break required during weekday coverage
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease/Interventional Cardiology
- Active Pennsylvania License required or active IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
- DEA required
Credentialing
- Credentialing timeframe approximately 120 days
- Temporary privileges may be available for qualified providers
Additional Information
- Coverage need averages approximately three weeks of call per month
- Experience with TEE, echocardiography interpretation, cardiac catheterizations, and STEMI coverage required
- Hospital-based practice with a mix of consultative and procedural responsibilities
