🏥 Practice Setting: Inpatient / Call Coverage

Schedule & Coverage
📅 Coverage Dates: May 1 – June 30, 2026
Onsite Coverage (Weekdays)
• Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Weekday Call Coverage
• Monday – Friday: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekend Call Coverage
• Saturday 7:00 AM – Sunday 7:00 AM
• Sunday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM
May Call Dates Needing Coverage:
2, 4, 6, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 25, 27, 29, 31
• Average Inpatient Admissions: More than 2 per physician daily
• Other Interventional Cardiologists will be present during locum coverage
Required Procedures
Interventional Cardiologists should be comfortable performing:
• Balloon Angioplasties
• Coronary Angioplasty
• Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
• Heart Catheterization
• Coronary Angiograms
• Carotid Artery Stenting
• Atherectomy
• Embolic Protection
• Medical management of vascular disease
Candidate Requirements
✔ Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology – REQUIRED
✔ Active Virginia Medical License – REQUIRED
✔ BLS & ACLS Certifications – REQUIRED
✔ Clean Malpractice History – REQUIRED
✔ NPDB Self-Query report required at submission (within 30 days)
