This role offers the chance to contribute to high-quality patient care on a flexible schedule, with the support of a collaborative team.
In this position, you will deliver inpatient cardiology care, perform essential procedures, and respond to all hospital cardiology calls. The role involves working 3-7 days per month, with a commitment to adult patient populations, utilizing Epic Cupid EMR. You will work alongside two other interventional cardiologists, providing a seamless continuum of care in a dynamic hospital environment.

In this position, you will deliver inpatient cardiology care, perform essential procedures, and respond to all hospital cardiology calls. The role involves working 3-7 days per month, with a commitment to adult patient populations, utilizing Epic Cupid EMR. You will work alongside two other interventional cardiologists, providing a seamless continuum of care in a dynamic hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform interventional procedures including Balloon Angioplasties, Coronary Angioplasty, PCI, Heart Catheterizations, and Coronary Angiograms
- Respond to all cardiology calls and provide consults as needed
- Read and interpret EKGs, ECHOs, stress tests, including nuclear stress studies
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid medical license in Kentucky or willingness to obtain
- Board certification or eligibility in Interventional Cardiology
- Proven experience in performing advanced interventional cardiology procedures
- Strong clinical skills in general cardiology and emergency response
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience working in hospital-based settings with EMR systems like Epic Cupid
- Ability to handle on-call responsibilities effectively
- Experience with adult patient populations and diverse clinical scenarios
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- At least 2 years of recent interventional cardiology experience in a hospital setting
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Other Requirements:
- Availability to work 3-7 days per month, with on-call duties up to 24 hours
- Travel and licensure reimbursements will be provided where applicable
- On-call daily rate expected within the parameters of 8-24 hours gratis
