Interventional Cardiology Locum Tenens Physician

Position Overview

One of our Partners is seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist for a locum tenens opportunity combining clinic, procedures, and STEMI call coverage.

This assignment offers predictable weekday scheduling, strong support infrastructure, and exposure to high-acuity cardiac cases, making it ideal for experienced interventional providers.

Provider Pay Ranking: Top ~5–10% of interventional cardiology locum roles (2026 market data)

$480 per hour

Assignment Highlights

• Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Up to 40 hours per week, coverage approximately every other month + vacation coverage
• Nightly call when covering
• STEMI call required
• Average 18 patients per day
• Academic / teaching environment
• EMR: Epic
• Travel reimbursed per policy

Typical Work Expectations

• Clinic + interventional procedures during the day
• Cath lab coverage
• STEMI response and after-hours intervention
• Inpatient consults and follow-up care
• Collaboration with APP and clinical teams

Job Responsibilities

• Perform interventional cardiology procedures
• Manage outpatient and inpatient cardiac patients
• Provide STEMI and call coverage
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
• Document in Epic

Skills & Experience

• Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
• Active Pennsylvania license or willingness to obtain
• DEA required
• ACLS & BLS required
• Experience with full interventional scope
• Epic experience preferred
