A Pennsylvania healthcare system is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist for ongoing locum coverage. The position consists of 24-hour call coverage including weekday rounds, procedures, and weekend call responsibilities. The provider will manage STEMI cases and support general cardiology coverage during weekends.
This is a block-style schedule with predictable monthly coverage needs.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour interventional cardiology call coverage
- Perform STEMI interventions
- Conduct inpatient rounds and consults
- Provide weekend general cardiology call coverage
- Perform cath lab procedures as needed
- Manage acute cardiac emergencies
- Document patient care using Epic EMR
Qualifications
- MD or DO required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
- Pennsylvania license or IMLC accepted
- DEA required
- Minimum 1 year experience required
- STEMI experience required
- TEE not required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Working Hours
Start Date: May 22, 2026
Schedule:
May 22 (7 AM) – May 26 (7 AM)
Ongoing Coverage:
1 week per month
1 weekend per month
Shift Type:
24-hour call coverage
Weekend Coverage:
Interventional cardiologist also covers general cardiology call
Average Workload:
Weekend callbacks: ~3 hours/day
Weekdays: ~8 hours rounds & procedures
