Opportunity Highlights
- Schedule: Full-time
- Job Setting: Hospital-based cardiovascular practice: 10-physician regional cardiology practice serving region
- Types of Cases:
- Cardiac catheterizations and coronary angioplasty/stenting (PCI)
- Emergency angioplasty procedures for acute myocardial infarction
- Inpatient cardiovascular consultations
- Diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Electrical cardioversions
- Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)
- Participation in pacemaker, bi-ventricular pacemaker, ICD, and loop recorder implantation
- Evaluation and treatment of coronary artery disease (CAD)
- Management of cardiomyopathy and arrhythmias
- Treatment planning for valvular heart disease
- Heart failure management and CHF clinic support
- Presurgical cardiovascular evaluations
- Lipid management and anticoagulation (Coumadin) management
- Focus strictly on Interventional Cardiology (no structural heart allocation)
Minimum Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology (must become certified within 2 years); not accepting candidates who have lapsed Board Certification
- Certifications: BLS Certification and maintain recertification
- Licensure: Valid Michigan license required at time of employment; DEA required
