Interventional Cardiology — Detroit, MI
THE OPPORTUNITY
StaffMed Health Partners is recruiting a BC/BE Interventional Cardiologist to join an established cardiovascular group within a major academic health system in metro Detroit. You'll join a team of four cardiologists (noninvasive and interventional), two adult cardiothoracic surgeons, and two pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons — a well-rounded, collaborative group delivering comprehensive cardiac care across the system. The ideal candidate is focused on invasive/interventional procedures with willingness to incorporate non-invasive/general cardiology work.
PRACTICE DETAILS
• Full-time employed position with a balanced interventional and general cardiology caseload
• Primary coverage at a Level II trauma center with additional coverage at the system's flagship academic hospital
• Teaching opportunities available — the flagship hospital maintains a strong university affiliation with cardiology residents and fellows
• Full administrative infrastructure — billing, coding, collections, marketing, IT, and practice operations handled for you
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Competitive base salary with productivity incentives
• Comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision, life, disability
• Malpractice coverage with tail protection
• 401(k) with employer match
• CME allowance and dedicated conference time
• Generous PTO
• Relocation assistance and sign-on bonus available
REQUIREMENTS
• MD or DO from accredited institution
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology (ABIM)
• Michigan medical license or eligibility to obtain
• Active DEA registration
THE LOCATION — Detroit, MI
Detroit is one of America's great comeback stories — a city pulsing with reinvention, culture, and affordability that's nearly impossible to find in other major metros. The cost of living sits well below the national average, meaning your dollar stretches further whether you're eyeing a renovated loft in Midtown, a stately home in Grosse Pointe, or acreage in the charming suburbs of Birmingham and Rochester Hills. The culinary scene rivals any coastal city — from James Beard-nominated restaurants in Corktown to the Eastern Market's weekend farmer's market, the largest historic open-air market in the country. Detroit is home to all four major professional sports, world-class museums including the Detroit Institute of Arts, and the iconic Motown sound that still reverberates through the city's live music venues. For the outdoor-minded, the Detroit Riverwalk, Belle Isle Park, and the Great Lakes region offer year-round recreation — kayaking in summer, cross-country skiing in winter. Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport provides nonstop service to virtually every major U.S. hub and select international destinations.
