ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking an Interventional Cardiologist beginning January/February 2026. This role provides inpatient and EMTALA call coverage for an adult population, working alongside two interventional cardiologists. The position focuses exclusively on hospital-based interventional and general cardiology services, with no outpatient clinic responsibilities.
Dates & Schedule

Start: January/February 2026

Coverage Needs: 3–7 days per month

Setting: Inpatient with EMTALA call coverage

Rate Structure: On-call daily rate to include 8–24 hours gratis (submit rates within these parameters)
Job Details & Responsibilities

Practice Setting: Inpatient only (no ambulatory work)

Group Composition: 2 Interventional Cardiologists (additional cardiologist present during locum coverage)

Patient Population: Adults

EMR: Epic Cupid
Required Interventional Procedures
-
Balloon angioplasties
-
Coronary angioplasty
-
Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
-
Heart catheterizations
-
Coronary angiograms
General Cardiology Responsibilities
-
Respond to all cardiology calls for the hospital

Provide general cardiology consults as needed

Interpret diagnostic studies, including:

EKGs
-
Echocardiograms

Stress tests (including nuclear stress testing)

Required Skills & Qualifications

Board Certified in Cardiology – Required

Active Kentucky (KY) License & DEA – Required

IMLC candidates considered if available 3–7 days/month

COVID Vaccination – Preferred

Self-Query NPDB Report – Required

Must be dated within 30 days of presentation
