Coverage Type: 24 Hour On Call
Practice Setting: Inpatient/EMTALA Call
Coverage: 24 hour on-call shifts (7am - 7am); 3-7 days per month
Weekend Requirements: Yes
EMR: Epic Cupid
Board Certification: Required (Cardiology)
License: Active KY medical license or IMLC
Patient Age Demographic: Adult patient population
Call Details:
- 24-hour on-call shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
- 3–7 days per month
- Weekend coverage is required.
Call Coverage: Includes Inpatient / EMTALA call coverage, respond to all cardiology calls for the hospital.
Position Overview:
A facility in Paducah KY is seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist to join its locum coverage pool. This is an inpatient, on-call opportunity with no outpatient clinic responsibilities.
Required Procedures:
- Balloon Angioplasties
- Coronary Angioplasty
- Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
- Heart Catheterization
- Coronary Angiograms
General Cardiology Responsibilities:
- Expected to respond to ALL cardiology calls for the hospital
- General Cardiology consults as needed
- Reading Studies to include EKG, ECHOS, and Stress tests (including nuclear stress)
