Overview
We are seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist for inpatient/EMTALA call coverage in Paducah, KY.
Coverage needed: 3–7 days per month
This role is strictly inpatient with no ambulatory/clinic responsibilities.
Practice Setting
• Inpatient / EMTALA Call Coverage
• No outpatient/clinic work
• Adult patient population
• Group includes 2 Interventional Cardiologists
• Other Interventional Cardiologists will be present during locum coverage
• EMR: Epic Cupid
Interventional Procedures Required
• Balloon Angioplasties
• Coronary Angioplasty
• Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)
• Heart Catheterization
• Coronary Angiograms
General Cardiology Responsibilities
• Expected to respond to ALL cardiology calls for the hospital
• Provide general cardiology consults as needed
• Read and interpret studies including:
– EKG
– ECHOs
– Stress tests (including nuclear stress tests)
Candidate Requirements
• Board Certified – REQUIRED
• Active KY License & DEA – REQUIRED
– IMLC accepted if provider can offer 3–7 days/month availability
• ACLS – REQUIRED
• COVID Vaccine – Preferred
• NPDB Self-Query (dated within 30 days of presentation) – REQUIRED
