Job description
I’m working with a growing cardiovascular program seeking a high-volume, complex Interventional Cardiologist who is interested in both advanced clinical practice and long-term program development. This opportunity is well-suited for a technically strong physician who thrives in a busy, collaborative environment.
Clinical Scope & Case Mix
- Complex coronary interventions, including:
- Left main PCI
- Bifurcation lesions (including two-stent strategies)
- Heavily calcified lesions requiring atherectomy
- Routine use of intracoronary imaging (IVUS required; OCT a plus)
- Hemodynamic support when appropriate
- CTO experience preferred but not required; willingness to expand skillset is key
- Strong interest or experience in peripheral/endovascular interventions:
- Iliac and femoropopliteal disease
- Tibial/BTK disease and limb salvage preferred
- Opportunity to grow into advanced peripheral, venous, or structural work as the program evolves
Practice Environment & Team Culture
- Highly collaborative, multidisciplinary setting including:
- Cardiothoracic surgery
- Electrophysiology
- Vascular surgery
- Hospitalists, intensivists, and APPs
- Shared call responsibility and collegial coverage model
- Opportunity to mentor APPs and junior physicians
- Emphasis on clear communication with referring providers and hospital leadership
Facilities & Technology
- Modern cath labs with strong procedural support
- Proficiency expected with:
- IVUS
- Atherectomy platforms (rotational/orbital; IVL a plus)
- Physiologic lesion assessment (iFR/FFR)
- Openness to adopting new technologies and helping standardize best practices
- Interest in imaging-guided PCI, appropriate case selection, and outcomes tracking
Volume & Productivity
- Busy cath lab and clinic environment
- Ability to manage:
- Full clinic days
- High procedural volumes
- Productivity-oriented while maintaining quality and efficiency
- Strong documentation and effective utilization of APP support
- Expected to ramp up and contribute significantly within 6–12 months
Professional Development

- Advanced peripheral interventions
- CTO or complex coronary techniques
- Opportunities for proctored cases and industry or academic training
- Research not required, but intellectual curiosity and quality improvement involvement are valued

Compensation
- Competitive salary guarantee transitioning to productivity-based compensation
- Compensation range approximately $600,000–$700,000, depending on experience
