We are seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist for a locum tenens assignment providing a mix of inpatient, outpatient clinic, and call coverage. This role supports an established cardiology service with other interventional cardiologists on-site. The position includes weekday clinic hours and shared weekday, night, and weekend call coverage. Adult patient population only.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
• Manage inpatient cardiology consults
• Participate in weekday, night, and weekend call rotation
• Collaborate with cardiology and multidisciplinary care teams
• Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR system
• Deliver high-quality cardiovascular care to adult patients
Qualifications
• Active Iowa medical license or IMLC eligibility (Letter of Qualification required at presentation)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• NPDB Self-Query (required at time of presentation)
• Experience working in hospital-based cardiology services preferred
• Clean professional and credentialing history
Working Hours
• Shift Type: Day shifts
• On Call:
o Weekday call
o Weekday night call
o Weekend call
o All call shared in rotation with other providers
