Required Skills
- Valid Medical License and Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology
- Proven experience with invasive cardiovascular procedures, including catheterizations and stenting
- Proficient in electronic medical records, specifically Cerner (transitioning to Epic by June 2026)
- Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational skills to manage patient and procedural schedules
Nice to Have Skills
- Prior experience as a locum or in a hospital/clinic setting in Iowa
- Familiarity with advanced interventional techniques and emerging technologies
- Bilingual abilities or additional language proficiency
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives
Preferred Education and Experience
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 3 years post-residency/interventional cardiology experience
- Prior clinical experience in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Current credentials for practicing in Iowa, or ability to obtain licensure swiftly
Other Requirements
- Ability to travel to West Burlington, IA; travel expenses including flights, hotel, rental car, and mileage reimbursed
- Credentialing process estimated at 60-90 days; shorter if already licensed in Iowa
- Availability to begin on or around 01/26/2026
- Must be able to handle weekday, weekday night, and weekend call rotations
- Must maintain valid certifications, including ACLS and BLS
