Locum Interventional Cardiology Physician needed in West Burlington, Iowa!

Locum Interventional Cardiologist

Seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist to provide locum coverage across inpatient, clinic, and call settings. Coverage dates are to be determined, with support from other interventional cardiologists on site.

Practice Setting & Schedule

• Inpatient, outpatient clinic, and call coverage

• Clinic hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–4:30 PM

• Call: Weekday days and nights, plus weekend call, shared in rotation

• Other interventional cardiologists present during coverage

Patient & Clinical Volume

• Clinic volume: Approximately 15–18 patients per day

• Patient population: Adult

• Broad interventional cardiology scope within a hospital-based practice

Technology & Systems

• Current EMR: Cerner

• Planned transition to Epic: June 2026

Credentialing & Licensing

• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60–90 days (may be shorter for providers already licensed in Iowa)

• Active Iowa medical license required (IMLC not accepted)

Provider Requirements

• Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology

• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS

• NPDB self-query required at time of presentation

Travel & Logistics

• Travel reimbursement includes flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage per IRS standard rate

• Preferred lodging includes Fairfield Inn and Hampton Inn in West Burlington, with health system–affiliated rates available

This role offers a balanced mix of clinical, inpatient, and call responsibilities within a collaborative interventional cardiology team at a regional medical center.
