Position Overview
Our Partner, is seeking an experienced Interventional Cardiologist for a short-term locum tenens assignment. This role covers a 13-week duration with scheduled 24-hour on-call coverage (10 hours gratis) per shift. The assignment offers a competitive pay/contract structure and supports a robust cath lab and vascular/interventional program.

Facility has 2 cath labs, peripheral vascular capabilities, dedicated cath prep/recovery unit.
Procedure mix includes adult diagnostic cardiac cath, PCI, balloon angioplasty, coronary & vascular stent placement, permanent pacemakers, thrombectomy, atherectomy, Impella, TEE, peripheral vascular angiography/intervention, IVUS, intracardiac ultrasound, cardioversion, tilt table studies.
Cardiac medical unit (10 beds) with support by 4 interventional cardiologists, 3 general/non-invasive cardiologists, and several nurse practitioners.
Must hold Idaho license or be eligible via IMLC and hold current Interventional Cardiology certification plus either Internal Medicine or Cardiovascular Disease certification — NO EXCEPTIONS.

Skills & Experience

Board-certified or board-eligible in Interventional Cardiology.

Certification in either Internal Medicine or Cardiovascular Disease required.

Active or readily obtainable Idaho medical license (IMLC accepted).

Experience performing the full spectrum of interventional cardiology and vascular procedures listed above.

Ability to function independently in a 24/7 call environment, handle STEMI/emergent cases, and collaborate with multidisciplinary cardiac care team.

Excellent communication and procedural/logistical skills in a high-volume cath lab environment.

Familiarity with EMR (as used by the facility) and proficiency in documentation, credentialing, and compliance requirements for locum work.
