Job description
Locum Interventional Cardiologist needed for 24-hour call coverage starting Jan/Feb 2026. Role includes inpatient consults, interventional procedures, and responding to all cardiology-related calls. No outpatient/clinic work required. Coverage is 3–7 days per month.
Job Responsibilities
Perform interventional procedures: PCI, angioplasty, angiograms, heart catheterizations
Manage all cardiology calls for the hospital
Conduct general cardiology consults as needed
Read and interpret EKGs, ECHOs, and stress tests (including nuclear)
Collaborate with 2 other Interventional Cardiologists onsite
Document in EPIC Cupid
Qualifications
Active KY License & DEA — Required (IMLC considered for reliable availability 3–7 days/month)
ACLS Certification — Required
COVID vaccine — Preferred
Clean malpractice/background
Working Hours
3–7 shifts per month
Weekend and on-call duties required
Skills
Cardiac catheterization, coronary angiograms
Acute cardiac emergency management
General cardiology consult skills
Proficiency with EPIC Cupid
