Job description Aya Locums is working with a hospital in Colorado that is in need of a Fellowship Trained Interventional Cardiologist to start in January 2026. It will be a 6 month contract

Job Responsibilities

Special procedures: right and left heart cath, coronary angiogram, coronary interventions, some arm work, a lot of lower extremity work, they also do chronic total inclusions and high risk PCI with impella support but may not ask locums to do that depending on skillset/experience. They do not do any veins.

Qualifications

Board Certification & Interventional Cardiology Fellowship
Colorado state license required but may consider IMLC
DEA, ACLS, BLS

Working Hours

5x8 per week; client will accept a minimum of 1 week per month.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7a-5:30p with an unpaid lunch between cases. Some possible night and weekend call rotations to be discussed on interview. Night call is from 5p-7a and has about a 25% call back ratio, weekend call is from 5p Friday night to 7a Monday with similar 25% call back ratio.

Skills

n addition to the procedures they are really looking for someone with great communication skills that is comfortable working independently but can work very well in a collaborative environment (a great team player!). A warm personality is important to them as well as someone who vibes well with the nurses and support staff. They also have residents so someone who would be comfortable having a trainee with them is important too. Please note, this is not a super busy department, but their cases are very complex and require someone who can deal with stressful situations with grace, remain calm in the lab, communicate what they need, and collaborate well with the inpatient provider. They are looking for someone to come in and be part of the team.
