Locum Tenens Interventional Cardiologist Need in ID!

ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist to provide locum coverage in a facility in ID, inpatient-only, 24-hour call coverage. The role includes consults and interventional procedures but no clinic responsibilities. Candidates must be experienced in standard interventional cardiology procedures and comfortable managing STEMI cases.

This is call-only coverage (24-hour shifts), with current needs on the following dates:

• Nov 4 (7a) – Nov 10 (7a)

• Nov 27 (7a) – Dec 2 (7a)

• Dec 2 (7a) – Dec 8 (7a)

• Dec 24 (7a) – Jan 5 (7a)

• Jan 22 (7a) – Jan 27 (7a)

• Feb 18 (7a) – Feb 24 (7a)

• Mar 19 (7a) – Mar 24 (7a)

• Apr 16 (7a) – Apr 21 (7a)

Note: Must be able to cover most or all dates listed.

Job Details / Responsibilities

• Setting: Inpatient only

• Trauma Level: II

• Hospital Beds: 18 ICU, 18 Tele, 10 CMU

• Patient Volume:

  • ~3 consults/day

  • ~2 procedures/day

• Procedures Required:

  • Interventional cardiology (including coronary stents)

  • IVUS and iFR

  • Balloon pumps

  • TEE strongly preferred

• STEMI Coverage: Approx. 3 activations/week (2020 data)

• APP Support:

  • Weekdays: 1–2 APPs during the day

  • Weekends: 1 APP for 5 hrs/day

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology – REQUIRED

• Licensure: Active Idaho license or IMLC with LOQ at time of name clear – REQUIRED

• COVID-19 Vaccination: Required to work at this facility – Verbal confirmation needed at name clear

• Clean malpractice and background history – REQUIRED

• Local/Regional candidates – Highly preferred
