Seeking a board-certified Interventional Cardiologist for a short-term locum tenens opportunity in Florida. This call-only assignment will include Cath Lab coverage, inpatient rounding, and consults in an inpatient setting. Providers must have an active Florida license or qualify under IMLC. This is an excellent opportunity to work with
Job Responsibilities
Take evening call coverage from 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
24-hour call on weekends
Cover Cath Lab, conduct inpatient rounding, and consults
Work collaboratively with hospitalists and existing cardiology staff
Document in Medhost EMR system
Qualifications
Active Florida Medical License or IMLC eligibility
Fellowship training in Cardiology preferred
Current certifications in ABLS, ACLS, and BLS (American Heart Association)
Prior inpatient experience preferred
Working Hours
Nights (M–F): 7:00 PM–7:00 AM (call)
Weekends: 24-hour call coverage
No scheduled outpatient clinic
Skills
Comfortable handling emergency cardiology consults
Strong communication and collaboration with hospitalist teams
Familiarity with Medhost EMR (or ability to learn quickly)
Able to work independently during call shifts
