Job description
Seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist for inpatient hospital and STEMI coverage. This is a locum tenens assignment to help address an ongoing shortage of interventional coverage, with 1 week per month commitment.

Specialty: Interventional Cardiology

Setting: 100% inpatient (Adult & Geriatric – 50/50 split)

Patient Census: 15–25 patients/day

Admissions/Discharges: Varies, 2–8/day

Patient LOS: 2–4 days

Call Coverage: 24-hour STEMI call, 7 nights/week

Weekend Coverage: 1 weekend/month

STEMI Volume: Low (~15 per quarter / 0–4 per week)

H&Ps: Performed by APCs with provider oversight

EMR: EPIC (training provided)
📅 Schedule:

Shifts: 24-hour STEMI call, 7 consecutive days/month

Duration: Ongoing monthly assignment
💼 Requirements:

Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology – REQUIRED
-
BLS, ACLS, ATLS – REQUIRED
-
Active Virginia License – REQUIRED (No IMLC accepted)
