JOB OVERVIEW:
• Job Title: Physician – Interventional Cardiology
• Job Type: Locum Tenens
• Location: West Burlington, IA
• Service Setting: Acute Care Hospital
• Coverage Type: Clinical + Call
• Coverage Period: 07/07/2025 - 26 weeks
• Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday - Thursday 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Friday 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• On-Call Shift Schedule: Weekday 8:00 AM – 8:00 AM; Weekend 8:00 AM Friday – 8:00 AM Monday (in rotation with other providers)
• Call Type: In-House and General
• Call Ratio: Rotation with other providers
• Callback Rate: Gratis (4-6 hours for 24 hour call on weekends)
PATIENT INFORMATION:
• Patient Demographics: Adults
• Patient Volume/Census: Clinic 12-15 per day, Inpatient consults 5-10 per day
• Admissions: Yes (inpatient consults)
• Rounding: Included
• Case Mix: Interventional Cardiology and General Cardiology

REQUIRED PROCEDURES:
• Diagnostic catheterization
• Angioplasty
• Stenting
• Stress echo
• Nuclear stress
• Reading echocardiograms
• Holters & event monitors
• TEE’s and cardioversions
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Licenses: Iowa (Required), Willing to license (IMLC accepted)
• Other Qualifications: Proficiency in Epic EMR preferred
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide outpatient clinic coverage and inpatient consults
• Participate in call rotation for both interventional and general cardiology
• Perform interventional cardiology procedures
• Interpret diagnostic studies including echocardiograms and stress tests
• Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
