This prestigious medical school is seeking a full-time employed Interventional Cardiologist in the Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor.

The Interventional Cardiologist will have a focus on complex coronary interventions, chronic total occlusions, intracoronary imaging, rotational/orbital atherectomy and other advanced intracoronary therapies. Insertion of mechanical circulatory support devices (including intra-aortic balloon pump, left ventricular assist devices such as Impella CP, Impella 5.0 and 5.5, right ventricular assist devices, VV and VA ECMO for high risk procedures as well as supporting the Cardiogenic Shock Program is essential.

  • Candidate would be expected to develop a robust outpatient practice. The role would also include taking an active part in teaching Interventional fellows, Cardiovascular Disease fellows, medical house staff and medical students. Research productivity commensurate with experience and interests would be expected. Administrative/Research time equivalent to ½ day per week would be offered.
  • Call: 1:6 for nights and weekends with equal rotation through holidays.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • MD or DO degree MD or DO from an Accredited Program – Required
  • Board certification in Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology.
  • CHIP Fellowship training is recommended but not required.
  • The ability to obtain a medical license in the Commonwealth of PA prior to start date
