Details & requirements for this opportunity:
- Specialty: Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology
- Requirement: Physician (MD/DO)
- Location: Washington
- Job settings: Inpatient
- Coverage Required: ASAP - 9/30/2026
- Schedule: On-site clinical hours and call if needed
- Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days
- License: None
- EMR: Epic
- Must be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible
- Other details: The facility which is stroke-certified and trauma level 1 is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours and beeper call if needed. There are an average of 10-12 patients per shift. The site is open to providers who need to obtain a Washington state license, as long as they can commit to one week of coverage per month, with coverage needed through September 2026. This is strictly an Advanced Heart Failure Cardiology role with no transplant component, requiring an Advanced Heart Failure–trained or Critical Care Cardiology–trained physician to work alongside three staff physicians on a long-term basis. The provider will be scheduled one week out of every four, from Monday 7 a.m. to Monday 7 a.m., with inpatient duties from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and night call from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The role is heavily critical care–focused, requiring full proficiency in managing ECMO, VV and VA Impella, and durable LVADs, along with participation in the shock program and primary attending responsibilities for ECMO and LVAD patients. Overtime applies after 12 hours per day rather than 40 hours per week, and bids should be entered accordingly.
