Position Overview

We are seeking a Board-Certified Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join a Level 1 trauma facility in Seattle, WA. This is a heavily critical care–focused position with primary attending responsibilities for ECMO and LVAD management in collaboration with three staff physicians.

Schedule & Coverage

• Rotation: 1 week on / 3 weeks off (Monday 7 AM – following Monday 7 AM)

• Inpatient coverage: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

• Night call: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Ongoing, long-term locums assignment

Work Details

• Patient load: 10–12 per shift

• Setting: Inpatient cardiology service

• EMR: Epic

• Team: Work alongside 3 staff cardiologists

• Procedures / Skills required:

  • Full critical care management of advanced heart failure patients

  • ECMO (VA & VV)

  • Impella (all forms)

  • Durable LVADs

  • Participation in hospital shock program

  • Primary attending responsibilities for ECMO & LVAD patients

Requirements

• Board Certification: Required

• License: Active WA License or IMLC accepted

• Fellowship: Advanced Heart Failure/Cardiology fellowship preferred

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS

• Experience: Critical care–level expertise in ECMO, LVAD, and Impella management

• Credentialing: 90 days
