A premier, physician-led private cardiology practice is expanding to meet overwhelming regional demand for specialized EP care in Bakersfield, CA. Currently, 100% of EP referrals in our market are being turned away or delayed due to a lack of local providers. We are seeking a motivated, fellowship-trained Electrophysiologist to build a premier EP practice supported by an established clinical team and a massive referral base of over 35,000 patients.
Position Overview & Highlights
- 100% Pure EP Scope: Focus entirely on procedural and clinical electrophysiology (40-50% lab time, 50-60% clinic).
- Instant Schedule Saturation: Step into an existing patient backlog and a built-in internal referral engine of 2 MDs and 5 NPs. You will be fully booked from week one.
- Turnkey Procedural Volume: High-volume procedural runway across 2 local hospitals, including 75-100 AF ablations, 100 device implants (ICDs, Pacemakers, CRT), and 25-50 Watchman/LAAO procedures annually.
- State-of-the-Art Technology: Dedicated EP labs equipped with CARTO, EnSite, and the latest ablation modalities, including Pulsed-Field Ablation (PFA), Cryo, and RF, backed by dedicated cardiac anesthesia and experienced EP lab tech teams.
- Quality of Life Schedule: Zero EP call. Non-interventional general cardiology weekend call is shared 1:8 (~3 weekends per year), with dedicated inpatient hospitalist support.

- Guaranteed Base Salary: $600,000/year guaranteed for 2 years.

Candidate Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
