Job description JOB OVERVIEW
• Job Title: Electrophysiologist
• Job Type: Locum Tenens
• Location: Chambersburg, PA
• Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient
• Coverage Type: Clinical Only
• Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing
• Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

COVERAGE DATES
• Ongoing coverage beginning May 11, 2026
• Up to 40 hours per week once per month
• Additional coverage as needed for vacation

PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Patient Volume/Census: 16 outpatient per day; 10–15 inpatient
• Admissions: Yes
• Rounding: Included
• Phone Consults: Yes
• Case Mix: Electrophysiology

FACILITY INFORMATION
• No. of Beds in Department: 270
• EMR System: Epic
• Office Equipment Available: Standard electrophysiology equipment
• Specialty Backup Available: Yes
• Support Staff Available: Outpatient clinical team and inpatient APP
• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental and vacation coverage

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
• Temporary Privileges Available: Yes, for clean files and urgent needs
• Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 90 days

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered per client policy

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Pacemaker Implant
• ICD implant (traditional and subcutaneous)
• Loop recorder implant and explant
• Ablations including AVN, SVT, and AFLUTTER

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active Pennsylvania license or willingness to obtain
• Board: Board Certified in Cardiac Electrophysiology
• DEA: Active DEA required with Pennsylvania address
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
• Experience: Prior electrophysiology experience required
• Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide electrophysiology services in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Perform and manage electrophysiology procedures and interventions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Evaluate and manage patient care across the continuum
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
