Job description Locums – Kingsport, Tennessee | Electrophysiology Opportunity (IMLC Accepted) Clinical Role

Join a high-performing electrophysiology program providing advanced cardiac care in a hospital-based setting. This opportunity is ideal for EP specialists seeking a mix of inpatient procedures, device work, and structured call coverage with strong APP support.

Coverage Needs:

  • 1 week per month (Monday–Friday, hourly coverage)

  • 1 weekend of call per month

Position Highlights:

  • Balanced schedule with both procedural and call components

  • Predominantly inpatient focus

  • Dedicated Electrophysiology APP support

  • Access to advanced mapping systems and technology

Schedule & Coverage
  • Weekday hours: ~7:00 AM – 6:00 PM (based on service needs)

  • Weekend call: Friday 6:00 PM – Monday 7:00 AM

  • Includes some general cardiology call coverage

Clinical Details & Responsibilities
  • Setting: Hospital-based Electrophysiology service

  • Patient population: Adults (18+)

  • Inpatient census: ~15 patients

  • Procedures:

    • Implantable cardiac devices

    • Ablations (as needed)

    • Implantable Loop Recorders (ILRs)

    • Cardioversions with moderate sedation

  • Average procedural volume: 2–3 device implants per day

Technology & Equipment:

  • CARTO mapping system

  • Abbott mapping system

  • Opal HDx mapping system

Requirements
  • Board Certified in Electrophysiology

  • Active Tennessee license required (IMLC accepted)

  • BLS & ACLS certifications required

  • DEA required (or exemption if non-prescribing)

  • Minimum 2 years of experience required

  • Clean background and recent work history required

Credentialing Timeframe: 60–90 days
