Electrophysiology Physician

Required Skills:
  • Board Certification in Electrophysiology (BC in EP)
  • State Medical License in Tennessee
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Certification in BLS and ACLS
  • DEA licensing (or DEA exemption if non-prescribing)
  • Ability to maintain a clean background check
  • Proficiency with electrophysiology mapping systems (CARTO, Abbott, Opal HDx)
  • Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with implantable loop recorders and cardioversion procedures
  • Familiarity with inpatient cardiac device management
  • Prior experience working in a hospital setting with inpatient services
  • Additional certifications in advanced cardiac life support or specialized electrophysiology procedures

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • At least 2 years of post-residency electrophysiology practice
  • Recent background checks with no adverse findings

Other Requirements:
  • Availability for one week per month of hourly inpatient shifts (Monday-Friday, approximately 7 am-6 pm)
  • One weekend of call per month (Friday 6 pm to Monday 7 am)
  • Support staff: 1 Electrophysiology Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
  • Willingness to work inpatient implant procedures, device implants, and ablative therapies
  • Travel reimbursements for flights and mileage or rental cars when applicable
  • Successfully credentialed within 60-90 days
