365 Healthcare is seeking 1 LOCUM Electrophysiology Physician to provide coverage for a busy cardiology and electrophysiology service in Sioux City, Iowa. This assignment includes weekday clinic coverage, regular OR/procedure days, and shared call responsibilities, including limited weekend call coverage tied to weekday rotations.

This opportunity offers a competitive hourly rate of $365/hour, with malpractice insurance included and travel reimbursed per client guidelines.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday clinic coverage

• Clinic hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• 20 shifts per month

• 8-hour shifts

• 2–3 OR / procedure days per week

• Shared call with 3 interventionalists

• Weekend call as needed (EP locum to take general call either preceding or succeeding weekday coverage)

Practice Details

• Inpatient responsibilities included

• No active outreach sites

• Telehealth: Yes

• Number of Physicians: 3

• Number of APPs: 5

• Supervision of APPs expected

• Physician to nurse ratio: 1:1

• Ancillary staff per provider: 2:1

• Exam rooms per provider: 5

• Medical imaging available: Yes

• Lab & Pharmacy available: Yes

• Clinic daily volume: 20–25 patients

• Average inpatient cardiology census: 10–20 patients

• Appointment length: 15–30 minutes

• Patient population serves Siouxland and surrounding areas (100,000+ population)

• EMR: Cerner PowerChart

Clinical Responsibilities

• Electrophysiology clinic visits (new and established patients)

• Electrophysiology procedures

• Device monitoring and management (loop recorders, pacemakers, ICDs)

• In-clinic device transmissions and reprogramming

• Shared general cardiology call coverage

• Collaboration with EP PA for post-procedure and established patient care

Services / Procedures Offered

• On-site and remote device transmissions

• EP studies

• Ablations (AFib, AFlutter, SVT, PVC, VT)

• Pacemaker, ICD, temporary pacer, and loop recorder insertions

• Generator changes

• Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE)

• Cardioversions

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (new graduates accepted)

• Fellowship Trained in Electrophysiology

• Active Iowa license or active IMLC LOQ

• Clean malpractice history and background

• NPDB self-query within the past month

• Availability for full-time coverage (one or more weeks per month)
