Join Our Team as a Locum Physician - Electrophysiology in Youngstown, OH
Are you an experienced Electrophysiologist seeking a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in inpatient cardiology care? We are looking for a dedicated Locum Physician to provide expert electrophysiology services at Bon Secours Mercy Health - St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. This vital role offers a chance to contribute to comprehensive patient care in a respected hospital setting while enjoying competitive compensation and excellent support.
In this role, you will perform a broad range of electrophysiology procedures—including electrical cardioversions, EKGs, tilt table tests, and all electrophysiology-related interventions—in both inpatient and call settings. You will work alongside a team of 20 cardiologists within a facility housing 400 beds, including 50 ICU beds, and serve adult and geriatric patient populations. Your expertise will help ensure high-quality care and efficient management of approximately 20 patients daily and an average of 11 inpatient admissions per provider.

This position offers an hourly pay rate of $19.50, with weekly pay via direct deposit. Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Electrophysiology
- Valid medical license in Ohio or ability to obtain one
- Proven experience in performing electrophysiology procedures
- Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
- Ability to quickly adapt to hospital EMR systems, preferably EPIC
- Willingness to provide inpatient and call coverage, including supervision of healthcare providers
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience working in a hospital or acute care setting
- Certification in ACLS and BLS
- Experience with complex arrhythmia management
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- At least 2 years of experience in adult electrophysiology
- Prior locum or hospital-based practice experience is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Credentialing timeframe approximately 120 days
- Ability to travel as needed; travel expenses reimbursed
- Willingness to work 8-hour day shifts with a 1:4 call ratio, including 24-hour on-call duties
