Job description
Aya Locums is seeking a Cardiac Electrophysiologist with pacemaker/device experience for a long-term (up to 6 months) locum assignment in Texas. The provider will support both inpatient and outpatient EP services alongside a large, collaborative cardiology team.
This role requires substantial monthly availability and willingness to undergo a full medical group and hospital board approval process.
Assignment Details

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8a–5p

Availability: 3–4 weeks per month

Weekend Call: Requested

Overtime: May be required on EP lab days due to add-on cases

Setting: Inpatient + Outpatient

Team: 5 MDs + 5 APPs

EMR: Epic (Inpatient & Outpatient)

Travel: Covered

Duration: Up to 6 months

Credentialing: ~135 days

Approvals: Must complete full medical group + hospital board approval; no expedited options for locums
Clinical Responsibilities

EP patient evaluations

Pacemaker/device checks & management

Hospital rounding & consults

Outpatient device and follow-up clinics

Collaboration with electrophysiology team
Requirements

Active Texas Medical License (required; no IMLC and no new licensing)

Electrophysiology-trained with device experience

Ability to commit to 3–4 weeks/month for up to 6 months
Must complete comprehensive board approval process
