Work Details / Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Technologist for the Cath Lab/EP Lab within a 268-bed hospital setting and associated outpatient clinic. You will support adult patients with advanced electrophysiology service lines including consults and ablation procedures.
Clinic: ~20-22 adult patients/day
Hospital consults in Cath Lab: ~3-4/day
EP cases: ~4-6/day (depending on case length)
EMR: Cerner
Setting: Hospital + in-office clinic
Procedures: Cardiac electrophysiology (heart rhythm disturbances, ablations)
On-site/independent moderate sedation: Must be comfortable performing moderate sedation on your own
Technology: Must be comfortable using the Abbott EnSite-X mapping system; must perform trans-esophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) and moderate sedation
Key Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience performing ≥100 EP cases in the last 2 years, with emphasis on ablations (case log required)
Comfortable and authorized to perform moderate sedation independently
Experience using Abbott EnSite-X mapping system
Must be able to perform TEEs
Solid background in adult cardiac electrophysiology and cath lab environment
Familiarity with Cerner EMR preferred
Responsibilities:
Prepare and assist in EP procedures including ablations, TEE-guided interventions, and related cath lab consults
Independently manage moderate sedation of adult patients in EP/cath lab settings
Operate and troubleshoot the Abbott EnSite-X mapping system and other EP lab technology
Provide high-quality clinic coverage, seeing ~20-22 outpatients per day
Support hospital consults (3-4/day) and EP case volume (4-6/day) as scheduled
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (electrophysiologists, nurses, cath/EP technologists)
Ensure documentation in Cerner and adherence to regulatory, sterile-technique, safety and quality standards
Contract & Compensation:
Contract length: Ongoing (coverage for listed weeks)
Shift: 7 a.m.–5 p.m., 1 hour lunch
Coverage as listed above – weeks vary monthly
Rate: Competitive and commensurate with experience + case log volume
