Position Overview
A respected regional health network in northwest Iowa is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Electrophysiologist to provide full-time locum coverage.
This high-paying assignment offers a balanced clinic and procedural schedule, excellent pay structure, and up to 20 shifts per month. You’ll work in a supportive, technology-driven environment dedicated to quality care and physician collaboration.
Assignment Details

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8 AM – 5 PM (20 shifts/month)

Procedure/OR Days: 2–3 per week

Weekend Coverage: As needed (shared call rotation)

Call Coverage: Shared with 3 interventional cardiologists

Inpatient Responsibilities: Yes

Telehealth: Available

Supervises: 5 APPs

Team: 3 Physicians | 5 APPs | 2:1 Support Staff Ratio

Clinic Volume: 20–25 patients/day

Hospital Census: 10–20 cardiology patients/day

EMR: Cerner Powerchart
Compensation & Pay Structure
Hourly Rate: $471/hr
Overtime: $528/hr
Night Call: $518/hr
24-Hour On Call: $3,543/day
Malpractice Insurance: Included
Travel & Lodging: Fully covered
Procedures & Responsibilities

EP studies and ablations (AFib, flutter, SVT, PVC, VT)

Pacemaker, ICD, temporary pacer, and loop recorder insertions

Generator changes, TEEs, and cardioversions
-
Device monitoring, transmissions, and reprogramming (in-clinic & remote)

General cardiology call coverage and APP supervision
Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Electrophysiology
Fellowship Trained in Electrophysiology
Iowa Medical License or active IMLC LOQ
Clean malpractice history
Full-time availability (minimum 1 week per month)
