Academic Cardiac Electrophysiology in Springfield, Illinois
Join a growing academic cardiology program in Springfield where electrophysiology plays a central role in patient care, education, and research. This position offers a balanced mix of clinical practice and academic involvement in a supportive environment designed for long-term professional growth and stability.
Practice Details
- Work alongside 4 general cardiologists, 5 interventional cardiologists, and an expanding EP team
- Supported by 4 Nurse Practitioners, including one with dedicated EP training
- Manage a broad EP scope, including atrial fibrillation care and device procedures
- Dedicated academic time for research, teaching, and scholarly initiatives
Schedule
- Up to 2 full EP lab days and 3 to 4 half-day clinic sessions weekly
- Roughly equal split between clinical work and EP lab responsibilities
- No formal call schedule, allowing for predictable personal time
Compensation & Benefits
- Structured base salary with significant earning potential

Candidate Requirements
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Cardiac Electrophysiology
