If you’re an obesity medicine–focused physician looking for maximum flexibility, minimal administrative burden, and real patient impact, this role is for you. We offer physicians the opportunity to work entirely asynchronously, reviewing pre-screened patients and providing quick, high-quality clinical decisions—on your own time.

Job Responsibilities

As a Telemedicine Obesity Medicine Physician, you’ll review patient cases that have already been clinically screened and verified, and provide prescription sign-off and medical decision-making aligned with established protocols. This is an independent contractor (1099) role designed for physicians who want flexibility and efficiency without sacrificing clinical integrity.

Review async patient cases for medical weight management
Prescribe and monitor GLP-1–based therapies (including Tirzepatide)
Make independent diagnostic and therapeutic decisions within protocol
Collaborate asynchronously with the care team as needed
Document clearly in the easy-to-use proprietary EMR
Stay current on best practices in obesity and metabolic medicine

Qualifications

MD or DO from a U.S.-accredited medical school
Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Active, unrestricted U.S. medical licenses
Minimum 2 years of clinical practice experience
Active DEA license
Experience prescribing GLP-1 medications
No history of malpractice
Strong evidence-based clinical judgment
Comfortable with technology and async workflows
Telemedicine experience is a plus

Working Hours

Schedule: Fully asynchronous — no scheduled hours
Visit Time: 1–2 minutes per async visit
Providers must check the queue at least every other day, preferably once/day
Location: 100% Remote (U.S.)

Minimum 5 active U.S. state licenses required ideally 3 from this list:
AL, NY, NC, OH, WA, NJ, MD, MS, CO, SC, MO, MN, OR, TN, WI, LA, MA, AZ, IN, AR, IA, UT, OK, KY
Strong preference for 20+ state licenses
Top priority states: AL, KS, MD, WA, RI, VT, AR, AZ, NY, DC
