World-renowned tertiary medical center known for its innovative technology, pioneering medical treatment and leading-edge research is seeking qualified CRNAs to join its highly regarded Department of Anesthesia and Interventional Pain Management.
About the Hospital:
A teaching hospital of Tufts University School of Medicine, the hospital provides quality health care in virtually every specialty and subspecialty, from primary care to cancer diagnosis and treatment to kidney and liver transplantation. It is a national leader in a number of health care areas, including stroke, weight management and lung screenings, among many others. It also helps to advance medicine through research and the education of tomorrow's health care leaders.
- The department is comprised of 25 (full and part time) CRNAs and 44 (full and part time) Anesthesiologists.
- These positions are Monday through Friday, 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts with no call or weekends.
- Covered approximately 24,000 cases last year (no OB or Pediatrics).
- Initiated its first fully accredited resident anesthesia training program in 2017.
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited program for nurse anesthesia with a Massachusetts RN license.
- Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification from Mass Board of Nursing.
- Current certification as CRNA or if a new graduate must have a Massachusetts Board of Nursing issued certificate as Graduate Nurse Anesthetist.
- A new graduate must pass the examination by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists and obtain Massachusetts CRNA certification.
- ACLS certification is required.
