Locums Anesthesiology Physician

We are seeking a qualified Anesthesiology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Northampton, Massachusetts. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule with independent anesthesia practice across operating room and endoscopy settings. The ideal candidate will have experience with adult and healthy pediatric patients, strong regional anesthesia skills, and the ability to provide reliable, consistent coverage.

Compensation:$410-$420 Per Hour

Responsibilities

• Provide independent anesthesia care without supervision.
• Manage anesthesia for general surgery, plastics, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, endoscopy, and healthy pediatric cases.
• Perform regional anesthesia and a variety of nerve blocks, including pediatric blocks.
• Provide anesthesia services in the OR or endoscopy setting as assigned.
• Manage endoscopy cases, with providers expected to be comfortable handling 16–20 cases per day.
• Monitor patients throughout the perioperative period and ensure patient safety.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic.
• Collaborate with the surgical and perioperative care teams.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
• Minimum commitment of 3 weeks per month
• Consistent, reliable coverage is a priority.
• Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90 days

Requirements

• Board certification in Anesthesiology or eligibility as specified by the facility
• Active Massachusetts medical license; new licensing is not supported
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• ABA certification or eligibility
• Massachusetts DEA registration
• Minimum of 1 year of experience
