Locums – Hanover, Pennsylvania, Anesthesiology Job

Specialty: Anesthesiology Location: Hanover, Pennsylvania Start Date: January 1, 2027 Estimated Shifts: 60 shifts/month Board Status: Board Certified Minimum Experience: 1 year EMR: Epic — experience required

Estimated need: 60 shifts per month

• Monday–Friday: 8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
• Monday–Friday: 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Weekday Call: 5:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Weekend Call: 24-hour call, 7:00 AM–7:00 AM
• Coverage includes hourly shifts, weeknight call, and 24-hour weekend call

Pennsylvania License: Required, but not required to apply. Candidates who need to obtain a PA license will be considered.

Required Certifications:

• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS

DEA: Not required for submission, but DEA will be required.

Providers will work in a 50% solo / 50% supervision care team model.

Solo Cases:

• Physician sees patients beginning with pre-op and manages the case through completion.
• Must be comfortable working independently.

Supervision:

• Supervise CRNAs beginning with pre-op.
• CRNA supervision ratio is approximately 1:3 to 1:4.
• Must be comfortable supervising CRNAs.

Typical Cases:

• Orthopedics
• General Surgery
• GYN
• Podiatry
• Urology
• L&D

Patient Mix:

• 85% Adult / 15% Pediatric
• Approximately 85% inpatient
• No pediatric OR cases under age 13
• No cardiac/open-heart cases
• No neuro cases

• Must be familiar with Epic
• Must be comfortable handling solo cases
• Must be comfortable supervising CRNAs
• Must be available for call coverage
• Must live outside a 40-mile radius of the facility, measured as the crow flies (not driving distance)
• DEA is not required to submit, but will be required
