General Anesthesiologist Physician Opportunity in Hanover, Pennsylvania
Join a collaborative anesthesia team in Hanover, Pennsylvania, as a General Anesthesiologist providing anesthesia care during a 13-week engagement. - Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.; 10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Call Coverage: Weeknight call from 5:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. and 24-hour weekend call from 7:00 a.m.–7:00 a.m.
- Estimated Workload: Approximately 60 shifts per month
- Practice Model: Approximately 50% solo cases and 50% CRNA supervision, with a supervision ratio of approximately 1:3 to 1:4

General Anesthesiologist Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical anesthesiology experience
- MD or DO degree
- Board eligibility or board certification in Anesthesiology
- Current Pennsylvania medical license or eligibility to obtain a Pennsylvania medical license
- Current DEA registration required before beginning practice
- Recent experience using the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Willingness and ability to independently manage solo cases for at least 50% of clinical duties
- Experience supervising CRNAs in an anesthesia care-team model
- Willingness to provide OB anesthesia coverage and participate in weekday and weekend call
- Pediatric cases are limited to patients age 13 and older; no open-heart or neurosurgical cases are included
Anesthesiologist Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive perioperative anesthesia care from preoperative evaluation through completion of the case
- Independently manage appropriate surgical cases while maintaining a high standard of patient safety
- Supervise CRNAs and provide clinical guidance within the anesthesia care team
- Participate in scheduled weekday shifts, weeknight call, and 24-hour weekend call
- Provide anesthesia services for adult and adolescent patients, including OB cases as assigned
- Document patient care accurately in Epic
- Collaborate with surgeons, CRNAs, nurses, and other members of the perioperative team
