Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist Job Details
- Location: Brockton, Massachusetts
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $10,400–$11,555
- Start Date: November 16, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 5 shifts per week
- Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts, with some 10-hour weekday shifts and scheduled call coverage
- Main OR Coverage: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Call Coverage: Monday–Friday, 5:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.; Saturday and Sunday 24-hour call coverage
- Clinical Program: 260-bed healthcare program, including 16 ICU beds, with an anesthesia care model supported by anesthesiologists and CRNAs
- Anesthetizing Sites: Eight sites supporting a broad range of general anesthesiology cases
- Electronic Medical Records: Meditech and Medaxion Pulse
General Anesthesiologist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience practicing anesthesiology
- Completion of an accredited anesthesiology residency program
- Board certification or board eligibility in Anesthesiology
- Active Massachusetts medical license or eligibility to obtain one
- Current, unrestricted professional credentials required for clinical practice
- Ability to manage a broad range of adult surgical and procedural cases
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Completion of required credentialing and provider enrollment materials before the first shift
Anesthesiologist Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based anesthesia care for a diverse surgical and procedural population
- Evaluate patients preoperatively and develop individualized anesthesia plans
- Deliver intraoperative anesthesia management and post-anesthesia care
- Support cases involving bariatric, ENT, gynecology, interventional radiology, total joint orthopedics, plastics, podiatry, spine, thoracic, urology, and vascular services
- Participate in scheduled weekday and weekend call coverage
- Collaborate effectively with CRNAs, surgeons, nurses, and other members of the anesthesia care team
- Document clinical care accurately in Meditech and Medaxion Pulse
- Promote excellent patient outcomes through clear communication and adherence to quality and safety standards
