### Locums | Anesthesiology | Eureka, CA (Active CA License Required) ### Why This Role

  • Ongoing coverage beginning January 2027
  • Commitment of approximately 5‚Äì7 shifts per month
  • Broad anesthesia case mix
  • Providers are introduced to nights after working alongside the daytime team
  • Two anesthesiologists needed ###
Assignment Details Location: Eureka, California Start Date: January 1, 2027 End Date: Ongoing Commitment: Approximately one to two weeks or 5–7 shifts per month Schedule: Variable 8- to 12-hour weekday shifts Coverage: Scheduled clinical hours with weeknight and weekend call Weeknight Call: Beeper call Weekend Call: 24-hour beeper call Response Time: Approximately 20–30 minutes Typical Callback Time: Approximately 1–3 hours Setting: Inpatient EMR: Epic Credentialing: Approximately 90 days Temporary Privileges: Not available Guaranteed Hours: Eight hours per scheduled shift Nights/Weekends: Required after initial daytime onboarding ### Shift Structure OB Shift: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM - In-house from 7:00 AM–3:00 PM - Beeper call from 3:00 PM–7:00 PM Evening Shift: 3:00 PM–7:00 AM - In-house from 3:00 PM–11:00 PM - Beeper call from 11:00 PM–7:00 AM ### Requirements Board-certified or truly board-eligible Anesthesiologist Active California medical license Active DEA registration Willingness to work nights and weekends Current CV required at submission Experience with: - Adult and pediatric general anesthesia - Trauma anesthesia - Spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia - Obstetric anesthesia - Head, spine, and neurosurgical cases - Thoracic and complex vascular cases - Complex orthopedic cases - Pain-management techniques - Postoperative epidurals and extremity blocks - Ventilator and acute volume/blood-pressure management - Central and arterial line placement ### Clinical Details Level III trauma environment Seven operating rooms Surgical mix includes orthopedic, vascular, neuro, spine, OB, pediatric, regional, and thoracic cases Open-heart anesthesia is not required CRNA supervision is not required Nursing, clinical, and administrative support provided No resident or teaching responsibilities
