A prominent 220+ bed regional hospital and Level III Trauma Center in Richmond, Indiana is seeking a skilled MD/DO for recurring locum tenens coverage starting in September 2026 and extending into 2027. Featuring standard 8-hour day shifts, zero call obligations, Epic EMR integration, and a wide procedural scope, this opportunity offers an exceptional balance of complex clinical practice and lifestyle stability.

The Opportunity

Step into an established, high-capacity hospital system, delivering comprehensive general and specialized anesthesia services across inpatient operating suites and specialty procedure areas.

• Clinical Scope: Perform broad independent anesthesia care across diverse case types, including:

  • Managing cardiac, vascular, obstetrical, trauma, and orthopedic surgical cases

  • Directing regional anesthesia, pediatric, spine, and cath/EP lab coverage

  • Utilizing Epic EMR for intraoperative documentation and ordering

• The Schedule & Shift Blocks: Full-time weekday coverage featuring standard 8-hour day shifts (Monday–Friday). Listed coverage weeks include:

  • August 2026: 8/3–8/7, 8/17–8/21

  • November 2026: 11/23–11/25

  • December 2026: 12/7–12/11, 12/14–12/18, 12/21–12/23, 12/28–12/31 (Ongoing into 2027)

• Call Obligations: Zero night call. Zero weekend call required.

• Practice Setting: Level III Trauma Center / 220+ Bed Acute-Care Hospital.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree & Board Status: MD or DO; Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Anesthesiology.

• Licensure & Credentials: Active, unencumbered Indiana State Medical License; active Indiana CSR and Federal DEA registrations.

• Life Support: Active ACLS and BLS certifications required.

• Clinical Experience & Vetting: Minimum 2 years of clinical anesthesiology experience; clean background check and NPDB history; signed anesthesia attestation confirming competency in all listed procedure types.
