Practice Setting and Clinical Scope
This is a hospital-based role where you will perform a range of complex procedures, including Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) using advanced techniques, heart valve repairs and replacements, and general thoracic surgeries such as VATS decortication and bronchoscopy. You will also play a critical role in ICU management of high-risk cases, including Impella device operations and structural heart procedure support in a hybrid OR/Cath Lab setting.
Schedule and Assignment Details
The position offers a 24-hour shift schedule from 7 a.m. to 7 a.m., with an expectation of 4 to 7 shifts per month. This setup provides an excellent work-life balance, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional patient care while enjoying time off. The assignment is ongoing, offering stability and continuity in your professional engagements.
Support and Work Environment

The team includes proficient first assists with experience in endoscopic saphenous vein harvesting and a focused anesthesia team dedicated to cardiothoracic surgery. Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery is required.
- BLS certification is mandatory.
- A clean background is essential for consideration.
- Experience with Impella support and structural heart procedures is required.
- Current or obtainable Kentucky medical license is preferred.
