Reid Health, a 220+ bed Level III Trauma Center in eastern Indiana, is seeking experienced anesthesiologists to provide independent, hands-on general anesthesia coverage. Featuring standard 8-hour day shifts, zero night or weekend call, and recurring multi-week block scheduling, this assignment delivers exceptional workflow balance and long-term stability.

The Opportunity

Step into an advanced regional medical center recognized as a Healthgrades Top 250 Hospital. Anesthesiologists will manage a diverse, hands-on case load independently from day one across inpatient, outpatient, and specialized procedure suites.

• Clinical Scope: Deliver autonomous general anesthesia across a broad surgical spectrum, including:

  • General, Orthopedic, Spine, and Thoracic Surgeries

  • Vascular & Interventional Vascular (including AAA repairs)

  • Cath Lab / EP Cases (EP studies, ablations, ICDs, angioplasty/stents, and structural heart procedures)

  • Obstetrical Anesthesia (Labor epidurals & C-sections; typically 1–2 times per week)

  • Healthy Pediatric Cases (primarily pediatric ENT, down to 6 months; 0–2 cases per day)

  • Trauma & Occasional Non-Operating Room Anesthesia (NORA)

• Procedural Requirements: Candidates must sign a clinical attestation confirming proficiency and comfort independently performing:

  • Labor epidurals and spinal anesthesia

  • Peripheral nerve blocks (primarily interscalene blocks)

  • Central and arterial line placements

  • Difficult airway management and intubation

• The Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts.

• Call Commitments: Absolutely zero night call and zero weekend call.

• EMR: Fully integrated Epic EMR.

• Assignment Cadence: Multi-week blocks available immediately, with ongoing coverage needs spanning into 2027.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree & Board Status: MD or DO; Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Anesthesiology.

• Licensure & Credentials: Active, unencumbered Indiana State Medical License, active federal DEA, and Indiana Controlled Substances Registration (CSR).

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of post-residency clinical experience with a clean background and NPDB profile.

• Life Support: Active ACLS and BLS certifications.
