Locums | Anesthesiology | Eureka, CA (CA license required) Why This Role

  • Strong support: RN, MA, APP, office staff
Assignment Details Start: September 9, 2026, ongoing Schedule: Variable 8-12 hour weekday shifts plus night and weekend call Shift structures: - OB shift (7a-7p): in-house 7a-3p, on-call 3p-7p - Eve shift (3p-7a): in-house 3p-11p, on-call 11p-7a - Weekend shifts: see facility for details Commitment: 7-14 shifts/month, ongoing Call: Weeknight beeper + 24-hr weekend beeper (20-30 min response, 1-3 hour call-back) Onboarding: providers start on day shifts with other physicians; transition to nights after acclimation Setting: Inpatient, Level 3 trauma EMR: Epic Credentialing: ~90 days Note: providers must be willing to work nights and weekends Clinical Details Full-scope anesthesiology coverage Required: general anesthesia (adult, pediatric, trauma), spinal/epidural/regional anesthesia, OB cases, neurosurgical (head and spine), thoracic, complex vascular, complex orthopedic, pain management, post-op epidurals and extremity blocks, ventilation management, central and arterial line placement Not required: open heart, neonatal, CRNA supervision, x-ray guided blocks Requirements Board Certified or truly Board Eligible Anesthesiology Active CA license Active DEA Compensation Rate caps apply per facility Malpractice provided Travel and lodging reimbursed (travel deviations apply: mileage to/from home airport not reimbursed; airport parking and destination ride share reimbursed)
