Assignment Length: July, August, and potentially September with ongoing coverage opportunities available
Credentialing: Client can credential in time for the anticipated start date
Position Overview
Onsite Call – hours are billed at regular hourly rate
We are seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens opportunity beginning in July. The facility is currently finalizing coverage dates, with specific shifts expected to be available in July, August, and potentially September. Additional ongoing coverage opportunities may be available.
Call Structure
The facility utilizes a two-provider call system:
First Call
24-hour in-house call
Provider remains on the OB floor throughout the call shift
Second Call
24-hour backup call
Provider may stay at a company-provided condominium located approximately 5 minutes from the hospital
If assistance is needed, the first-call provider will contact the second-call provider via cell phone
Expected response time is within 30 minutes of being called
Second-call providers are rarely called in
Clinical Responsibilities
Cases include:
General Surgery
Obstetrics
Orthopedics
Urology
Gynecology
Pediatric cases are limited and typically involve:
Patients approximately 13 years of age and older
Patients weighing approximately 80 pounds or more
Additional Details:
Providers manage their own operating room
No administrative duties
No committee meetings or non-clinical responsibilities
Scheduling
Available shift types may include:
10-hour shifts
12-hour shifts
24-hour call shifts
Specific dates and scheduling needs are expected to be finalized within the next week.
Requirements
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology
Ability to provide comprehensive anesthesia services across the listed specialties
Comfortable with OB anesthesia coverage
