Outstanding locum opportunity for a Board-Certified Cardiac Anesthesiologist in vibrant Miami, Florida! This assignment offers consistent full-time scheduling, complex cardiac case exposure, covered travel expenses, and the opportunity to work within a collaborative high-acuity cardiac program.
This is an excellent fit for experienced cardiac anesthesiologists seeking a structured block schedule while practicing in one of Florida’s premier healthcare markets.
Job Responsibilities
🔹 Manage CABG, valve replacement/repair, TAVR, MitraClip, LAA ligation, and EP procedures
🔹 Deliver perioperative cardiac anesthesia management for high-acuity patients
🔹 Perform both independent cardiac cases and supervised anesthesia care team coverage
🔹 Collaborate closely with surgeons, APPs, perfusionists, and multidisciplinary cardiac teams
🔹 Maintain detailed case documentation using Medaxion EMR
🔹 Participate in rotating weekday and weekend cardiac call coverage
Qualifications
✔️ Cardiac anesthesia expertise required
✔️ Active Florida Medical License preferred (or proof of FL compact application)
✔️ Active DEA required
✔️ ACLS & BLS certifications required
✔️ Must provide 24 months of case logs
✔️ Clean clinical, legal, and malpractice background required
✔️ Must provide driver’s license at presentation
✔️ Must meet out-of-market eligibility requirements
Working Hours
📍 Monday – Friday + Weekend Rotation
➡️ 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
➡️ 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
➡️ 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
📞 Rotating call coverage required
📅 Minimum 20 shifts per month
