Position Overview

A hospital-based anesthesia group is seeking an Anesthesiologist for ongoing night coverage beginning August 3rd. This opportunity is ideal for providers comfortable practicing independently overnight while supervising CRNAs across a broad variety of surgical specialties.

Important Requirements

• MUST be drive-in capable
• MUST be comfortable working nights
• MUST be available for sporadic solo night coverage
• MUST be proficient in regional (nerve block) anesthesia due to high orthopedic volume
• MUST be comfortable providing OB anesthesia coverage

Assignment Details

• Start Date: 8/3
• Contract Length: Ongoing
• Schedule: 4 night shifts/week (Monday–Thursday)
• Shift Length: 16-hour night shifts
• Coverage Needed: 1–4 weeks per month

Practice Setting

• Hospital-based practice
• 135-bed facility
• EMR: Epic

Department Overview

Anesthesiologists work within a collaborative care team model supervising approximately a 1:3 CRNA-to-room ratio while delivering patient-centered anesthesia care across multiple procedural settings.

Required Skills

Candidates should be comfortable with:

• MAC anesthesia
• Regional anesthesia
• Spinal anesthesia
• Ultrasound-guided techniques
• Nerve blocks
• OB anesthesia

Patient Population

• All ages

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Active Pennsylvania license OR IMLC Letter of Qualification required at submission
• ACLS and PALS required
• 2+ years of experience preferred

Credentialing

• Standard credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90 days
• Temporary privileges available for providers with a clean file
